How To Launch Your Digital Course To A Warm Audience
Watch This Week’s Episode of ACC-TV
There is nothing worse than launching your course to crickets
And having no one buy.
It sucks and I know first hand because I’ve been there more than once. Ugh! Gut punch! But, there is DEFINITELY something you can do to prevent it from happening in the first place or for your next launch. Check out this week’s ACC-TV episode here to get the 3 tips on launching to a warm audience.
Your email list is powerful, even more so when you are ready to sell.
Your email list is swiftly becoming the one asset of your marketing that you own. With upcoming privacy changes, you can bet the big guys will come out shooting with new changes that will impact the way you market and grow your audience. This isn’t a bad thing, and they have every right to do so (they are in it to make money after all!) But it also means you must be smart about the end game of your marketing strategy. This week’s episode teaches you how to grow an engaged email list so that when you are ready to launch your course, you have people listening and waiting to buy.
1 – Warm vs Cold Email Subscribers.
A warm email subscriber is filled with people that you communicate with regularly. Not just send a holiday card to and then a bill for your services. Yuck! That feels like you’re paying taxes, not starting a business relationship. The key to having people ready and waiting for your product launch is continuing a conversation with them. I cover the 3 mistakes people make with their email list and creating a warm ready-to-buy audience here.
2 – Stop creating crappy lead magnets
Lead magnets are no longer a commodity. They are a dime a dozen – especially the crappy ones. People are smart, they know if they sign up for your lead magnet that they are going to get emails from you. But if you send them a resource that doesn’t help them or that is useless, then – they will unsubscribe quicker than you block one of those car warranty calls on your phone. In Episode 14 I share three ideas to gather intel on what your people want so that you can deliver a lead magnet that people not only want but will tell their friends about.
3 – Stay in touch.
As I mentioned before, the key to having an audience primed and ready to whip out their credit card when your course launches is staying in touch. This is the #1 thing I see go wrong with course creators and my clients. They build out their website, create a lead magnet, spend money on ads and launch their course and then they don’t email their audience again until it’s time to launch. It’s like walking onto a car lot and having every salesperson approach you and offer help when all you want to do is try and figure out what kind of car you actually want. They start talking deals and bonuses and leather interior and you don’t even know if you want a truck, an SUV, or a convertible. Don’t be that guy (or gal). Get to know your peeps and give them what they want. How do you do that? Keep in touch with them.
As always, there is an easter egg (read bonus – yes I live with 3 teenage boys) in this week’s episode too. You can find that here.
I want to hear from you!
