3 Steps to Successfully Launching Your Online Course This Year

Digital course launches have a ton of moving pieces.

Keeping track of all of those pieces can be so overwhelming that many course creators get stuck and never get to launching their course. The problem is, if you don’t launch, nobody buys. Nobody buys you make no money.

In this episode of ACC-TV I share a proven 3-step process to ensure that you successfully manage all the pieces and parts of your course launch so that you can get that baby out into the world and start generating revenue and creating the impact you deserve.

 

1 – Plan it out.

You have heard the adage if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.  The same is true with your launch.  So many times people are ready to launch their brilliant idea and throw it out there. But without a plan of how many people you want in your course, how you will reach them, and what they will do after you get in front of them – you are setting yourself up for disappointment.  Without goals, a success measurement system, or a calendar plan for your launch you will end up spinning your wheels, wasting time, and delay the successful launch of your course. 2- Break it down.

Bonus points if you just sang that in your head like I did.  This step is crucial not only as a beginning course creator but to prepare for long-term success.  Determining what you MUST do during a launch vs. what you can hand to someone else is going to help you not only decide what you will give to your forthcoming team, but also what you can outsource to someone now so that you can hit the ground running.  A critical component of this delegation is documenting who will do what, but also how will you track who is doing what and whether or not that task is complete.  I give you a bonus tip in this section as well, check that out here.

3 – Make it happen.

Obviously, this is a critical piece to course success.  If you don’t do the work, you can’t get your product out there. But I find more often than not when clients begin working with me, they don’t give themselves enough time to successfully launch their online product.  One of the key elements is missing.  For example, they don’t have a warm audience to launch to or they are cramming to get the tech setup at the last minute and run into error after error. By following steps one and two you set the foundation for your success with your first, second, or 100th launch.
