026: Building Your Team Values vs Experience
You know you are ready to grow your business. You also know that it is going to take more than one of you. Unless you’re like Michael Keaton in Multiplicity, you can’t duplicate yourself, you MUST hire a team. Today’s episode is about my personal journey of working toward hiring my first team members and what I’ve learned along the way.
I give you the scoop on contractors vs. employees and what you need to be aware of when making hiring decisions and daily decisions in regards to your team members. I also give you the first big step to team hiring – you probably aren’t going to like it, but it’s a requirement to set yourself up for success.
Last but not least I touch on hiring team members who align with your values vs. hiring for experience. I go into detail about defining your business values and give you some deep questions to ask, then ask again. These are great for early morning journaling. I also briefly touch on some ideas around your hiring process and how to be successful.
I mentioned a few resources for step one, you can find them below. Tune into this week’s episode so you can get that team hired, get your sanity back and focus on what you LOVE to do in your business.
